Direct Primary Care is a cash-pay, monthly membership health care clinic. Members are patients across the lifespan and the focus is wellness, prevention, and curative care. I treat and educate patients with a multitude of chronic conditions including but not limited to:
- Diabetes
- Coronary Artery Disease
- Asthma
- COPD
- Musculoskeletal Issues
- Hormonal Imbalances
- Vitamin Deficiencies
- Thyroid Disease
- Post Bariatric Surgery Care
- Obesity
I also perform procedures including, but not limited to:
- Abscess incision and drainage
- Simple suturing
- IV hydration
- Seasonal Immunizations
- Ingrown Toenail Treament
Catherine Stephanie Miranda, APRN
Stephanie has been in Primary Care since 2017. She graduated with her RN from Arkansas Tech University in 2012. She worked in Med/Surg and ICU while having 3 children, serving in the United States Air Force Reserve, and going back to school to obtain her Masters in Family Practice in 2017. She served in the Air Force for 13 years and deployed three times. One of her inspirations for becoming a nurse was volunteering on station in Iraq, caring for local pediatric burn victims. She has enjoyed serving in Johnson County during her entire nursing career.
She loves helping coach her girls in basketball, softball, and recently volleyball! She loves teaching Sunday School at Knoxville First Baptist Church and gardening.

Membership includes:
ALL visits, same day visits, urgent availability, in-office testing, and in-office procedures. Labs and medications are available at deeply discounted pricing.
Frequently Asked Questions
Q: Do you take patients with insurance?
A: I do. I just do not bill insurance for visits. You pay a monthly fee to be in my practice with all that is included in it.
Q: Can I still use my insurance?
A: Yes, for your medications, labs, and imaging, but I will have very discounted prices on these so you may actually pay less by paying cash than using your insurance.
Q: Do I have to make an appointment to see you?
A: It depends. Because I will no longer have to pander to bureaucratic insurance companies, I can practice with common sense. If you have a minor issue, we can talk on the phone or do a telehealth visit. If I think it is something that needs to be seen, I will get you in same day or the next, depending on the urgency.
Q: How is this Direct Primary Care model different than what you used to do?
A: Because it is a monthly membership practice, I will not have to see 25-30 people a day to pay to pay staff, billers/coders, administration, and still get paid nothing by insurance. I will have more time to sit and talk to patients. Most DPC practices see about 6-10 people a day. I will be doing most of my own paperwork, phlebotomy, patient care, and administrative tasks. When you call the office, you will likely speak directly to me.
